Eagle & Dove Ministries/Judah’s Roar Church & Worship Center
We believe:
1. The Bible is the eternal Word of God – inspired, without error, immutable, and infallible. It is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness. (2 Tim. 3:16, 1 Thess. 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21)
2. Our God is One, but manifested in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of heaven and earth. (Ex. 20:3, Gen. 1:1, Matt. 3:16,17, 28:19, Phil. 2:6)
3. Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. Jesus is the virgin born Christ, and only begotten Son of God. Jesus alone, led a sinless life, was crucified and died for our sins, and was raised from the dead for our redemption. (Luke 1:26-35, John 3:16, 10:16, Rom. 5:12, 3:9-10, 1 John 3:8, Gal. 3:13-14)
4. The new birth is necessary for all men to receive eternal life. Salvation is brought only through godly repentance and faith in the finished work of Christ. (John 3:3-5, John 14:26, 2 Cor. 7:10, 1 John 5:12)
5. Baptism in water is by immersion. It is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matt. 3:16, 28:19, Rom. 6:4, Col. 2:12, Acts 8:36-39)
6. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is an enduring gift of power from God that is received subsequent to the new birth; all of the gifts of the Spirit are in operation, and all of the five-fold offices of ministry active and needed in the church today. (Matt. 3:11, Luke 24:49, John 14:16-17, Acts 1:4-5, 8; 2:38-39; 19:1-17, Acts 2:4, Eph. 4:11)
7. We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace. (John 15:3, 1 Thess. 5:23, Heb. 12:14, 2 Peter 3:18, 2 Cor. 3:18, Phil. 3:12-14, 1 Cor. 1:30)
8. Healing is for the physical, spiritual, and emotional ills of the person and is effected by the power of God through the prayer of faith, with the laying on of hands. (Mark 16:18, John 14:12, James 5:14-20, 1 Peter 2:24, Matt. 8:17, Isaiah 53:4-5)
9. We believe in: the immanency of the return of Christ, the physical resurrection of the dead and the ‘catching up’ of those believers who are alive, at that time. We believe that believers in Christ are resurrected to eternal life, and the unbelievers to eternal damnation. (Acts 1:11, 24:15, 1 Thess. 4:14-18, Rev. 20:6)
10. The one who physically dies in his sins without Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost, condemned to the lake of fire and has no further opportunity for repentance. (Heb. 6:1-2, 9:27, Jude 7, Rev. 19:20; 20:14-15)
11. We partake of the Lord’s Supper to remember and celebrate the Lord’s death till He comes. (1 Cor. 11:23-28)
12. We believe that healing, power or anointing can be transmitted from one person to another by God’s Holy Spirit. (Mark 5:22, 23, 41; 5:28-31, Acts 6:2-6, 8:16-17; 19:11-12; 28:8, 1 Tim. 4:14)
