I give You the reins of my heart
That I may move to the beat of Your heart
And see with the eyes that You see

I give You the reins of my mind
That my thoughts may align with Yours
And become a fertile garden
Of meditation and fellowship with You

I give You the reins of my emotions
That I may be moved with what stirs You
And yet stand not being blow
By any other wind but only by Your breath

I give You the reins of my will
That I may let You reach others through me
And that my time be at Your disposal
For I trust You to take the lead

I give You the reins of all that I am
So that the ‘me’ becomes ‘Us’
And that I may walk in constant awareness
That You are always with me
As I abide in the love of the One Who calls me
